Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of upcoming projects, Melchor are actively looking for skilled Civil Project Engineers to join our highly experienced civil engineering team. These roles will initially be based in our head office in Osborne Park, transitioning to a 2:1 roster during project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project objectives are met on time with respect to cost, safety and quality
  • Manage the interface between the engineering and project delivery teams to maintain compliance with the specifications, schedules and contract.
  • Manage and supervise the resolution of technical queries as required
  • Lead the procurement and work pack development for the project
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to other members of the Engineering team.
  • Compile schedule, cost, progress and forecast reports for the project; ensuring all schedule reporting requirements are met
  • Provide support to the project team and implement best practice on the project
What you’ll bring:
  • Extensive experience in Project Engineering on large-scale civil construction projects for similar companies
  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • A methodical approach, high attention to detail and take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of own work
  • Be delivery focused, with a high level of self-motivation and drive to support the project in delivering to a tight schedule
  • Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
  • Committed to a FIFO roster during the construction phase of the project
