We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyors to join our talented contracts team, here in our head office in Osborne Park. This is a permanent opportunity, working Monday to Friday alongside industry leading professionals in the civil construction industry.

As Quantity Surveyor you will provide detailed quantity and technical data to support preparation and analysis of Contract Variations, Progress Claims, and Earned Value Reporting to various major Civils projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete contract quantities remeasure (take off) based on engineering drawings and information.
  • Responsible for the overall project measure, including maintaining the project database.
  • Complete data verification and reporting for weekly progress reporting into client systems and project schedule.
  • Liaise with offshore engineering resources to support take off activities.
  • Coordinate with local engineering team to ensure take offs are completed correctly.
  • Identification and estimation of any new rates required.
  • Prepare information and correspondence for contractual variations and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Lead Project Engineer / Project Controls Manager and other staff to ensure all data is correct and suitable for project requirements.
  • Analyse materials, products, or qualitative or quantitative work outputs for quality, accuracy and completeness.
  • Understand and interpret detailed engineering drawings. Translate drawings for purposes of tendering, procurement, resourcing, project scheduling and risk identification.
  • Track budget quantities against increased scope quantities (change management).

What you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the heavy Civil construction sector 
  • Experience with quantity tracking and QMR updates.
  • High level of Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Detailed understanding of data management tools and databases.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience of building relationships at all levels of an organisation.
  • You demonstrate initiative and ensure that the teams you work with feel confident, informed, and efficient.
  • The ability to leverage your analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose business problems and deliver practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills for a diverse and challenging workload
  • Outstanding organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and personnel, while effectively and efficiently managing their output.
